I just have to add one more thing.
One point a true Disney fan understands is that you cannot have one without the other...In order to have the beautiful, innocent princess, you must have the evil villian to counter their good with evil.
Some of us who grew up on Disney love the good, but we also appreciate the evil villians.
They're everything we could not be (without getting into trouble!)
Unfortunately, the first-time Disney visitor is led to believe that Disney World/Land are strictly for children and that just about every aspect of their park visit has to be catered to the one age group - the kids.
But it shouldn't be that way!
When I was a kid, I didn't like certain parts of the park, so I just didn't do what I didn't like.
When I HAD kids, I didn't take them to the places in the parks that I know they wouldn't enjoy.
Now my kids are teens and they don't want to do the things that they used to do because they enjoy new experiences.
That's the point of The Parks: To Offer New Experiences so you'll Want To Come Back!
Shouldn't a Villian's themed dinner be one of those experiences?
Maybe even a Villian's themed park that the DIS'ers have been salivating for all these years?
It is such a shame that the same souveniers are sold in every souvenier shop - Used to be Pooh, then Tigger, then Stitch, then Jack Sparrow (I'm sure I left some played out character out).....I used to appreciate the uniqueness of the gift shops as you stroll through the lands. I appreciated the different character meals when my kids were little, and I avoided the one with Pooh (!)
So why can't Disney cater to those who spend a portion of their yearly salary at their parks?
Why can't the true Disney Villian fan enjoy a character meal with the characters THEY have grown up with?
It would be a good idea if, while making a reservation for a Villians featured character meal, the CM "cautions" the one making the reservation that it might be "too intense" for kids/babies.
We've been going down every year, sometimes twice a year and spending our hard earned cash at the parks. We "enjoy" forking over our money!
So all I ask is, why can't we enjoy a certain part of the parks that isn't "over commercialized" by Redundant Disney?
Please, Disney, Please! I Don't Want Redundant Disney!!! I Want Pure Disney! Disney For The Disney Fan!!! Stella!!!!!!!!!!!!
