Sorry ran out of time. Most everything else looked the same. ESPN sign was not there. Just the brackets.
Many changes to the magic went unnoticed unless you asked what crew worked on. One day an old server rattled off a dozen things. Topsiders buffet line was raised? I just saw the food.
It looked the same to me. Most public areas had new carpet. Rooms on deck 5 were clean, nothing new.
The biggest change was the Mickey pool decks were totally new with some rubberized coating which was very rough and slide resistant. That and the one ear is now a fountain only pool. they changed the 1 ear to have a constant stream of water from around the ear and drain all the time. That pool is ONLY for non-potty trained kids (in swim diapers). The water is said to go through numerous filters and cleanest on the ship!
The mickey pool was very clean and did not appear to be as dirty like the past. I spoke to one CM and he said the new pool guy is very good and he even agreed that at the end of the day the pools are still clean.
Most CMs said they spent endless days scraping and scraping with tools and chains. 4 layers of paint. Many things were still only primed waiting final coats. I assume that they wanted brute force to scrape during drydock. (it must have been noisy)
All the toys in Flounders were new (hasbrow) . And every sign on the ship is new or repainted new. One CM said he spend days just doing signs. (hanging)
