Where are the fall discounts?

I know! We are going 11/9-11/19, so we missed Free Dining by 3 days. We had the Monsters Inc Pin, but couldn't use it, either, due to blackout dates. Then the FD pin came out, and I thought, well we should get that, since we got the last one. Nope. I called and checked a couple times a week to see if I had a Pin attached to my name that I didn't receive via email or snail mail. Nope. Really wanted Free Dining, as for us it would save us over $1,000. But, I thought, at least we should get a Room Only discount. But where are they? Every day I think,'This will be the day they come out'. I am honestly thinking that we may not get a discount at all.

But, really, what is the worst case scenario? We get to go to Disney! Hard to be that upset!

Just wanted to share that we are in the exact same scenario. We will be there 11/10 - 11/17, we also have the Monster Pin and can't use it for the same reasons and we also did not receive the free dinning Pin for the blackout dates like many others who have I've also called many time and no pixie dust so far!

In 2007 and 2008 the discounts were not released until mid August. Don't give up!

I know better than to count on a discount, but I did and this year we've had no luck for fall pins or deals. Every one that's come our way, has been no good for the week we're going. Ironically, this is the year (financially) that we could use a discount the most...like a lot of folks $ is REALLY tight right now!

Is it any wonder that the first website I go to each day is DIS! Couldn't even imagine taking a trip to the world without knowing all the things I have learned from everyone here!

I too am hoping for a discount I am going to DLRP and that is costing me a FORTUNE. Since my french friend has a vaca week in Nov we are goin to do wdw and the dcl. I really hope there is a roo or pkg discount. Since we are going to atlantis and CRT i really really need a discounted room.

I called yesterday and nothing
The cm couldn't even find me in the system, even with all our trips and our disney visa she had to hunt for my info The cm didn't give me any hope of a room only discount coming out anytime soon either, but she probably didn't know, b/c she was really helpful. So, we will wait and hope for something within the next week. It will be easier to wait with all of you though

BTW, all the room discounts I find on the disney website have to be booked by Oct 2...hopefully they will offer something before that.

I want to do a girls only trip with my DD. We did it in 2007 and I promised we would do it again. Problem being that last time we had a 6 night trip and the total cost was about $1250 all in. I'm aiming at that price range again however that was in value season and this time I want to go in November to see all the Xmas decor and Osbourne lights. Right now the resort alone will be $1200 for the week but I have discovered I can make it happen for really close to the number that I'm hoping for if I book with the current room discount and go on August 25th.

I have park tickets and we tend to share meals...so that covers that.


So I'm curious to here what your opinions are. I guess I'm wondering if I should book now for August 25th and wait to see what comes up on the 15th for November.

The holiday lights and theme is great... if you have not done that yet I would say hold out and do that or book later in Nov/Dec to get beter rates...

Are the discounts u are looking for for the next yr or this fall?? I'm confused and overwhelmed about all this..We are booked the week of Thanksgiving and im kinda nervous cause alot of ppl have said that is a bad week to be there..I sure hope not.

They do get posted on the Disney World website. There should be a link on the upper right-hand side for special deals. But the best bet is to check back here frequently and on mousesavers.com.

I guess I was lucky that we were able to get a pin for free dining during a black out time frame... we will be there Nov 5-12... I did have to move from YC to POR but was able to get free dining for 5 adults.... and save me $1200 on the room.... so I think it was the right choice for us... no one minded moving from YC becasue they said all we do is sleep in the hotel anyway....

but I am going Dec 31st thru Jan 7th and hoping for a discount for that time... might have to use DD 40% off cast member discount if nothing better comes up...

I have the free dining pin too, that's good from 10/3-11/23. I just don't think this is the best deal for us. We would possibly doing the YES program, saving us alot on tickets. And alot of times we don't usually eat two meals a day in the parks. Really hoping for a room only discount.

on hold as i type. called to see if i had any codes with my name and turned out i did. i had free dining for the dates i already had ressies made for. not only that she asked me how old my son was and i said 16 and that made my room rate go down by $67.78. i guess for room purposes kids aren't adults until they are 18 so she adjusted my rate and gave me the free dining. worth the 1/2 hour on the phone so far. loving the pixie dust this morning.
