?Loyalists? Maybe it's just me but I think it's really a shame that suddenly there's an "us vs them" atmosphere where once there was so much good natured fun and information. I belong to multiple boards for disney, camping, and dolls. Even though several cover the same topics, each has their own unique strengths. Lots of people here belong to multiple message boards, the same as they post on multiple areas of the dis. I can't imagine a world where learning more, or chatting with people interested in the same things you are, could be a bad thing just because it happens on a different site.
I wasn't part of the clique... if there was one... but always enjoy good banter and fort discussions. It's been my experience that folks who enjoy camping and love the fort are fiends and welcome on any site - just as you'd welcome the guy pulling into the campsite next to you at the fort. Fort fiends here... fort fiends there... can't we all just try to get along?
Oh hell fire, I have to jump in on this, I just can't help it. I have to start by saying, "My name is Judy and I'm a Dis-o-holic". I came to these boards over a year ago and learned a plethra of valueable information. I have only been to the fort once, so I dont have alot of unique insight or information to put out there but I happily help anyone that ask. I go between both boards, I wasn't apart of the drama, just genuinely enjoy the conversation and yes, sometimes the snarkiness is amusing. I'm sure there are things that I don't know about the "flush", I'm sure some nasty remarks were exchanged somewhere along the way, but just like "retired and happy" said, both boards have alot to offer, I dont like the whole comparing "pee pee's", for those of us who are neutral and just want to learn as much as we can and MEET other fiends, this situation is a little weird.. and confusing.. I mean, If I have a "sign" on my tent from the other site, does that mean that people from the disboards won't stop by and say hey?? I sure hope not! so can we please all just get along, like mama use to say, "if you don't have anything nice to say, then dont say anything" .. JMHO, I'll take my beatings now..
