we're planning a trip for my twin daughters' b-days in 2011.

we'd like to hit CRT for breakfast or lunch, but will stop at BBB beforehand for special birthday makeovers. ;)

if you could plan everything perfectly, when would you schedule time to eat in the castle? is there a preferable time?

first/last breakfast slots?
first/last lunch?
does it matter?

We've done breakfast and lunch and seriously I don't really think it matters when in regards to character interaction. We prefer lunch only because we are really not breakfast people.

Last trip I made the 1st appointment at 8:05am for my DD at BBB. She was done well before rope drop and we had a lunch ADR at 1:05pm.

Her hair was so full of spray and gel it didn't move in 2 days so no worries about it getting messed up. Some of her make-up came off, but your daughters will get the remainder of their make-up so just re-apply like I did before the picture with Cinderella.

It was nice to not waste precious ride time getting DD's hair done and by 1:00 we were all hungry and ready for a break.

We loved going to CRT for breakfast, before the park opened. We had wonderful pictures in front of the castle with just a few people visible. Everyone naturally looked their best for pictures with Cinderella and the other princesses without Mom fussing with hair or trying to cover the giant ketchup stain. (That being said, my favorite pic of my youngest is with Pooh while wearing a shirt covered with chocolate ice cream!:cutie:)

I loved starting the day with a relaxing breakfast before we started that crazy ride trek around the kingdom. We are right there in Fantasyland after leaving the castle. Getting sick on the rides after eating a full breakfast isn't a concern; we save the tea cups for last, just in case!

Not sure where I would work in BBB....

We've done CRT twice. Both times for lunch. The best schedule for us was a lunch on the day we arrived. We arrived at the resort around 10:00 a.m., checked in and headed over to MK. Since this was not a rope drop day, we strolled leisurely down Main Street taking in some of the things we rush by for our rope drop day and really began our vacation with Cinderella in the Castle. It was the perfect beginning to our family vacation.

We snagged the only time available which was a lunch. We hit the park for rope drop and got tons of rides in and then enjoyed the lunch while taking a rest. Then we didn't have to worry about rushing out to the rides after a breakfast. I had the major domo's pie and it was very good.

I have to say, I really enjoyed the time we ate at CRT. We scheduled BBB for 10:15 and CRT lunch for the first seating at 11:45. We had a lot of time between and was done BBB before 11 so you could schedule BBB for later. Anyhow, I liked the first seating for lunch because we got to eat by the windows overlooking Fantasyland and we were the first table the princesses went to when announced. I feel that if we were later, the good tables by the windows would have been taken.

so the 1st lunch seating sits closest to the windows.
that's good to know!
thanks!

go early in the lunch service. Since we go to WDW in the summer, we usually have an afternoon break at the resort. This past trip was the first BBB visit for our daughter. I think we scheduled a 9:30 appointment. That gave her plenty of time to do a few rides with her dress and make-up prior to the meal. She always has to ride the carousel in her dress before our lunch.

So it sounds like the earliest lunch is the popular choice. I like the ide of scheduling BBB first thing, first appointment...then I can still get my people free castle pictures, get dd all made up, parade around MK, and then have lunch with Cinderella. Perfect!

I vote for first thing. Even before MK opens. That way you can have main street almost to yourself and take great pictures on the way in. Afterward you can spend the rest of the morning at MK!!

me, too! :thumbsup2

although, i wonder if there's any advantage to taking the last breakfast seating? would you get more character interaction being in the last group?
