When's the 50th Over?

We're planning a trip for next October for Halloween. We bumped it up from December (we've already done Disney at Christmas). I have read that the 50th anniversary runs until October 2006, but what part of October? I'd love to see the castle all decorated.

Has an exact end date been announced?

They advertised the 50th as an 18 month celebration. Since it started on 5/5/05 it should end around 11/5/06.

I thought it was September '06. I don't remember where I heard that, but for some reason, that sticks in my mind. Could very possibly be wrong though.

I meant to put this in my previous post. I have also heard September but they have advertised it as being an 18 month long celebration. I don't know which is the correct end date. I don't beleive Disney ever put a real date as the end, just said 18 months.

I think maybe they said it on the vacation planning DVD? I think I'm going to have to watch it now because there is a segment on it when that girl talks about it.

It is an 18 month celebration. May 05 - October 06. At least this is what I heard about 20 - 30 times while there in June.

well, if memory serves me correctly disney world's 35th anniversary is in october 2006 so even if the 50th anniversary ends they should (hopefully) have a celebration for it.
