When you were a child what things.....

I accidentally hit the 'Enter' key before I could answer my own question!! LOL!!!

Rod Stewart's song "If you want my body and you think I'm sexy".
OH BOY!!!......did I think that song was baaadddddd!!!
I would get all red everytime it came on the radio.

When I was a teenager, my parents embarrassed me... but then, that's what they were supposed to do.... ;)

When I was really little, I don't think much embarrassed me, although maybe it should have. hee hee hee

Wearing a bra for the first time. :o The boys in school and in the neighborhood were really immature and really nosey. They looked to see if they could see outlines of straps then tease the heck out of the girls who were wearing them. :o

Me too Saffron, it didn't help that I was one of the first few to be picked on.

A lot of things did and I use to blush so easily, so people did things just to see me blush.
It's a little more difficult now. ;)

Absolutely EVERYTHING embarrassed me!! :o

In first grade my teacher's name was Mrs Ische (pronounced Ishy) and I was SO embarrassed to tell anyone what my teacher's name was. My first day of school I came home and we had company.... my mom asked what my teacher's name was, and I whispered it in her ear..... when she said it out loud, I ran to my room and cried for hours!!! :o :o :o

This is what happens when you have older brothers.

:( My entire family!
From my Gay Uncle to My Twin Aunts who still insist on wearing those 70's tube tops (even though they look like they are around there bellies!)

 Nope - they aren't with me.;)

When my mom made me try clothing on in the middle of the store instead of in the dressing room...like put this dress on over your clothing or try this shirt on...It would bug me so bad! I was really shy!

Being taller and maturing more quickly than the other kids my age. Being smart was embarrassing as well. My family wasn't well off, my mom made a lot of my clothes. I got picked on a lot so my whole life was pretty embarrassing. :(

Having to change out of a wet bathing suit at the beach while my mom held a towel up.

By the way I love your signature and countdown clock. I am getting excited for the Bon Jovi concert tomorrow night at Mohegan Sun. I have loved them since their first albums and videos when I was about 12 and have not missed a tour yet. A Bon Jovi concert is the one night I can go back in time and just have fun and forget the responsibilities of being a mom and a grown up.

I've always been self-conscious. I've always been clumsy. I fell down about 5 sets of concrete bleachers once at our high school homecoming game-it was raining. All kinds of people were there and got a good laugh at me. Then we had to go to the gym for something and I fell 2-3 times in front of a guy I thought was a cutie.:o And I never looked at him in the eye again.:o I was able to use that to my benefit later though. In 12 grade, my English teacher made us write about an embarrassing experience. So I wrote about that night. I got an A.:teeth:

My dad's drunkness would embarrass me. I wouldn't invite friends over because I didn't like for them to hear him yell at me.

My friends would embarrass me when I was about 12 yo. I was built like a 16 yo.

When I was in high school, one of the teachers knew me from the time my mom brought me home from the hospital. She'd walk down the hall reminiscing about how cute she thought I was when I was a baby. That I was very quiet until I needed to be (mostly during church).:o There's also the story about me ruining this nice ladies' pearl necklace in church when I was about 9 mo.:o I still hear that story when I see her or that other lady.

I did not get embarrased easily as a child, and I still don't to this day

Perhaps the reason I don't remember getting embarrased that much as a child is because I usually push embarrassing memories out of my memory :)

My mother and the telephone directory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember being very embarrassed as a small child because my family was so ethnic, very ethnic (Italian) traditions. Everyone else was so Americanized, but we had to do things the "old world" way. Which now I am glad about, but then I was embarrassed about it.

Another thing I hated was when I would go over to someone's house who was an only child or only had one or two siblings, and they would have a ton of toys to play with, all well cared for. I had to share everything with my 8 siblings, and very rarely had something that was my own. Oh, and also, we NEVER had junk food to eat - Mom didn't believe in buying anything processed - and I was embarrassed when I would go to a friends and they would have Ho Ho's and at my house all you got was an orange or an apple or some yogurt. :p

I can't remeber anything so I am wondering if anything every got me red in th face. :D

Puberty for me too! I developed very early! Bras in 4th grade, regular periods in 5th. I remember being at a sleep over where the truth or dare question was have you had a period yet? No one else had. I fibbed on that one!

Using public toilets. I used to get embarrassed that other people could hear the 'tinkling'. :teeth:
