When you stayed at WL...

Thanks Magic! You know, I love these boards but they are starting to make me batty..........sometimes its just too much info to absorb::yes:: I have decided to just relax and deal with whatever room we get, wherever we get it. We love going to WDW and I know we will have a great time!:teeth:

We stayed in room 5083, woods view, bunk beds and non-smoking. We could see the fireworks at night although it was partially obstructed by a tree. It was fairly quiet even though Whispering Canyon was below us. The only negative was that 2 mornings I heard delivery trucks and their back up alarms at about 3:30am.

Hi!

We were at the WL 6/14-6/18 -- our first time, as we are Poly veterans. We loved it!

We had two rooms 3141 and 3143 -- they were courtyard views with a view of the "overlook" and the pool a little to the right. I did ask for a view of the EWP, but unfortunately was no in the room any of the nights to watch it.

Each of our rooms consisted of two queen beds.

I had requested a non-smoking room, but am not sure that it was as there was not a no-smoking indicated on the door. I did detect a slight smell of smoke in the hall, which prompted me to check for a sign on the door.

All in all we had a great time and would definitely return!

What was your room number? 1035

What view did you have? We booked a woods view but were upgraded to a courtyard view at check-in. We had a first floor room, which at first I was not sure I would like. But my 18 month old and I LOVED going out there every day and watching the bunnies, birds, ducks and snakes come by! It was great!

What were the bed arrangements? King bed.

Smoking or Non-smoking? Non-Smoking

What did you especially like about the location of the room? We loved not having to wait for elevators, watching the animals outside, and being able to open our sliders and walk outside.

CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK....Please help, I think I am addicted!!! :hyper:

:D A little bump for all returning from the WL.

Please let us know what you thought. Room #, view, etc.

Thanks. ::yes::

Returned from our 6/17- 6/24 stay in love with WL! We reserved a Woods view, and received an upgrade (yippee!) to an inner courtyard view Room 2125 . Very Very close to the lobby and the side door to the bridge with a view from our private balcony of Silver Creek Falls. Loved our comfy king size bed and large shower! I wish we could request the same room, but we are bringing my MIL and we need 2 queens.

We really want to be on the 2nd floor again. I can't remember what rooms near us were queen rooms with a similar view. Any ideas?

I'm really glad I saw your post, I've been trying to remember our room number from our stay at the WL and couldn't remember if the number began with a 2 or a 1. We had 2 rooms very similar to your location, so I'm pretty sure we were in 2135 and 2137. The location was phenomenal. :cloud9: I could zip out to the lobby, down toward Roaring Forks and out the door to the courtyard or I could take the elevator down and go out the side door. We could see the water parade at night and our view of the courtyard was perfect.
I was a bad little Lodger when we returned and never wrote my trip report and have regretted not doing so. All the info and insight I got from the WL facts thread was invaluable and contributed to an incredibly MAGICAL stay. We had more than our fair share of pixie dust and a big part of it was our location. Just so you know, both of our rooms had queen size beds and either would, IMHO, be an excellent choice. I hope I can get one of them when we return in December.

We were on the 4th floor directly over Whispering Canyons. To my amazement...it was a quiet room! The only noise I heard was around 5 pm when you would hear a CM yell, "COME AND GET IT", while ringing a triangle. This was a great location overlooking the lobby. It was considered a "Woods View". It also had bunkbeds. The 4th floor lounge area was nearby, and was a great place to relax. It also serves as a popular place for weddings!

Thank you for the room suggestions! Even though we plan to reserve a Woods view, I will request one of these rooms and hope for an upgrade. If no upgrade, I will just be happy to be at the Lodge for Christmas! :D

Superb location for pool, Trout Pass Bar, Bay Lake, dock, geyser, lauches, marina, and Roaring Forks, but maybe the least private room in the whole resort...heavily-used entrance to hallway was just to the right of our patio.

(I'll be posting a bunch of pics, including one from the patio, soon)

We recently returned from a two week stay in the world. Our first week was at PO-R. We really enjoyed alligator bayou building 17. Room 1704. The second week (July 25-31) we arrived at The Wilderness Lodge. I was so excited to be staying at our first deluxe. I only reserved a standard view room (AP rate $114.00), but when I entered our room I discovered it was a courtyard view!! I was so happy.
Our room number was 5111. We had two queen beds. It was non-smoking. Its location was up the elevator, turn left, turn the corner and walk a quarter of the way down the main hall. It was really a convenient location with a great view. It was a little weird to see other rooms directly in front of us, but looking down or to the side was great. Don't worry at all about waiting on elevators at this resort. There were three(?) in a row and are very quick. Sometimes too quick for the rest of the family to catch up. :p We loved the lodge and hope to return again before baby number three turns three.

We really loved this room. The view was tremendous and the mousekeeper, Dina, wonderful. You could hear WCC a little in the morning but it wasn't unpleasant.

we just got back from room 7066. Great view of wishes...Very quiet corner room. 2 QUEEN BEDS and quite a few bruised shins. It overlooks the service entrance but it did not really both us too much. I like the enclosed balcony. My kids give me heart attacks trying to stand on the first rung of the balcony...

I thought conceirge was not that great at WL. The CMs were not very helpful. I did love the speed of the elevators. And the PB and J thingys.

We had a Jr. Deluxe. The room number was 4123 and is non-smoking. It has 2 queens in a seperate bedroom and a fold out queen bed/couch in the main room. It does have a balcony. It was a very quiet location when we were there in June 2001. It has a nice courtyard and pool view. We also had a great view of the Electric water thingy.

Where were the animals? Were they outside your balcony in the courtyard? Or did you walk around toward the otter pond?

Thanks-

It was very quiet and peaceful there during our stay (late Aug2004), and room was close to the elevator.

Also, it was very clean and not worn out-- room seemed nearly new.
