When you stayed at WL...

bumpity bump. I wish I was back at the lodge in Room 5034 overlooking the otter pond with a view of the castle, fireworks, contemporary & monorail.;) ::yes::

We were there the week of 12/6. We were in room 6067, courtyard -non smoking. It was just off of the lobby area and looked directly at the pool and lake with a perfect view of the water parade. We were in heaven!!!

It has been reported that WL no longer takes fax request but I faxed my request 4 days before arrival and got exactly what I requested. Maybe a ***e, but I will try it again.

Room 2151 is a courtyard view room with two queen beds. The room was too low, no privacy and we could not see the ewp. We could not leave the balcony doors open because it was too noisy from the pool. The room is on the same level as the lobby. Just go down the hall across from the mercantile and make a few twists and turns.

Thanks so much! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I've never stayed at WL and booked courtyard view today! I assumed since courtyard was the most expensive that all the views would be facing in towards the pool, geyser, etc. and of course be a wonderful view! I read through all these posts and noticed things like inner courtyard view, courtyard view facing villas, etc. If the room faces the villas how is it also facing the courtyard. Please excuse my ignorance but I've never visited this resort.

What was your room number?

We had two rooms, 6058 and 6060.

What view did you have? (standard, woods, courtyard)

I'm not sure what our view was called. We directly overlooked a maintenance/delivery area with lots of trucks and activity (during the day). Just beyond that was a nice tree line and a little pond to the right. And on the horizon was MK with a perfect view of the castle!

What were the bed arrangements? (queens, King, bunks)

Rm 6058 had two queens while 6060 had a queen and bunk beds. No connecting door though.

Smoking or Non-smoking?

Non-smoking.

What did you especially like about the location of the room?

Very good view of the fireworks at night, with the castle right in the background. Major drawback was that we must have also been right over the kitchen area for Artist's Point, because we could hear, and smell, all the exhaust. It was like being over a deep fryer, with the smell of hot oil and food. We had to stop watching the fireworks from the balcony because we were geting ill from the fumes.

Unfortunately, the Villa view rooms are considered courtyard, but have no view of the inner courtyard and falls! You must specifically request inner courtyard! The reason for this pricing is: The villa rooms could not be priced at standard or woods because you are getting garden views etc.

As we travel to the front, please consider being a part of our survey. Sharing your information is what makes WL so special. PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE.
Thank you and enjoy the trip.

Any new WL Arrivals?

Consider this a bump to the front.

Room # 7119

Courtyard view... sort of over the falls area, but the balcony is a wall so the view below is limited. We could see part of the lake but mostly just the other side of the resort across the way.

2 queens

Non-smoking

We enjoyed the concierge services and the lounge very much. :) I would definitely do it again. :)

We just got back (12/5-12/14) had room number 5035. A center courtyard view of the main pool and the lake. The resort was fantastic and we fell in love with it the minute we walked in. I do not know how we will be able to stay anywhere else in the future. We were right near the elevator that is closet to Roaring Fork.

What was the bedding in 5035? Thanks!

What was the bedding in 6067? Was it a connecting room? Thanks! ;)

What was your room number?

What view did you have?
Courtyard
What were the bed arrangements?
1 king bed
Smoking or Non-smoking?
Non-Smoking
What did you especially like about the location of the room?
I liked that this room was close to everything!!! Our room was located one floor below the lobby, so we were seconds away from the front desk, food court, gift shop and Whispering Canyon Cafe. It was a minute walk to the main pool with the spas, and only a minute away from bus transportation. Boat transportation was the furthest thing away from us! Probably about a 4 minute walk to the boat dock.

Anyone just back from WL??

Post your info please.

We had 2 rooms--
5087--woods view (could see front of the lodge drive area to the left from balcony, woods straight out), with 2 queens, off the lobby.
5073--courtyard view (could see from creek straight out to the pool and lake) with 1 king, off the lobby.

And both rooms were non-smoking!
We've stayed in 5073 before and just love it!! Love being able to see the lake and just soak it all up and to stand out over the lobby--just take in the massiveness of it all, holiday decorations just adding to it!
