...why do they want yours instead?

I made DD and I the same sandwhich for lunch. I had a little leftover and so did she. She asked for the rest of mine and ate it up. I guess she was tired of her own! :p :D

Well, Jenn Lynn, everyone knows that whatever Mom has tastes better!

My kids do this all the time. There was another mom on here that asked if we hide from our kids...this makes me hide from them.

It drives me NUTTY!!!!:p

This is why I try to have lunch after the little one is down for her nap, I 'd rather re-heat something than deal with the contant requests for the food on my plate. If I try to give her my plate and take hers, ooohhhh, bad things can happen.

The sandwich is always greener on the other side of the table.

::yes:: Yup - I get this all the time. He goes - oooooo and says that he wants that! Well, that is exactly the same as what is on your plate little man.

He doesn't do it to Dad so it must be a Mommy's food is better thing. I will often come into the dining room chewing because I want to get a bite prior to the nightly want that fest. I also thikn that maybe if I make it look used - chewed on - whatever, that he won't want it. It never works but at least I got a bite in prior to it being fought over.

My kids do that, my ds is the worst of the 2 of them though.:p He's clever at getting all of my meal sometimes.

:teeth: It's a standing joke at our house that you don't mess with Mom's food. My husband tells people that he has seen sparks fly from my fork when I eat. I eat very fast. I had a job where I had a 30 min. lunch break and had to leave for lunch everyday. Got in the habit of eating fast and never got out of it.

Jacob does that. I can fill his high chair tray up with food, and he'll point to my plate and say, "That!" :D

LOL! Not my child!

Diet Food doesn't look very appealing to a 12 year old. I would gladly trade my salad for his pizza or roast or meatloaf or...........

Nah I really wouldn't.

Our son is the same way he loves to eat from my or my wifes plate he also thinks it is more fun to sit with either of us while eating guess hejust likes to be with us hehe.

::yes:: Miss Maddy will eat anything off of my plate, even if it's the same as hers.
