This make me wonder if Summer is somehow becoming more of the off-season to go to Disneyland? I've noticed that the holidays into Springtime are almost busier now than some of the Summer months. Granted, Magic Keys are blocked for a good portion. It's definitely an interesting switch from having this deal January-March in years past.
I have to admit I'm tempted to change my hotel reservation (We're booked for May 19-24) so we can utilize this discount more effectively. But I'm a little worried that the parks will be madness the closer we get to Memorial day with this discount.

That may change. The Explore MK is replacing Enchant next week. Explore has Sun-Thursday open most of the summer. That would leave three of the four MK with available dates over the summer. Only Imagine will be blocked.

If you wanted to go for 4 or 5 days, I assume two of these tickets can be bought and used back to back?

I, too, am wondering what this will do for the summer crowds. My hope is that in 2026, it might not be too bad yet as people start to buy the Explore MK as their other keys expire, maybe?

In my opinion, the kids' ticket deal will be popular over the summer, but all the other factors are still important. What MK blockouts are there? What are single-day ticket prices?

For example, the opening weekend of the kids' ticket deal (May 22 / Memorial Day Weekend), both lower passes are blocked on Saturday and Sunday. Believe is blocked on Saturday. Single-day ticket prices are also up close to $200.

Over the next two weeks following Memorial Day weekend, all MKs are unblocked, and tickets are available on some weekdays for as low as $104.

The thing with the kids ticket deal is that at least 1 adult will still need to buy a full-price ticket. If there are days that are nearly $100 cheaper (for an adult ticket), many people will choose those dates. We have seen this consistently over the past few years - the $104 weekdays are packed, even during school, while the more expensive $ 180-plus holiday weekends are emptier.

Maybe some people pair a new Explore Key for an adult with a 3-day kids park hopper at $50 per day, but we shall see. If they are going to upgrade the kids ticket to a MK anyway, you still have to pay full price (if the keys are even available to purchase at all over the summer).
