Sorry I have only gotten to post 5 and this really irritates me... I am sorry if I am a germaphobe... But I have had a bone marrow transplant, No spleen (to fight off bacterial infections) leaving me with a compromised immune system. It SUCKS... I didn't ask for this... If removing A comforter that 9million people have used in between washings makes me a germaphobe..then fine. I get All kinds of colds each year, and It takes me twice as long to recover because of my immune system. After what I have been through...that is not changing I will take the steps I can to NOT get sick... Your a nurse..shame on u...u should know better than to make such comments.

Mom used to say you have to eat a ton of dirt before you die!! I don't think our grandparents worried so much about germs and all of mine lived into their 90's!!
. Your immune system needs practice, people!
FWIW, I have never gotten sick at WDW-this is after seven trips. While I don't think of myself as a "germaphobe" I do wipe the room down with clorox wipes and use an hospital sanitizer bomb on the room each trip. This will kill anything that might get us sick and gives me peace of mind. It seems like the Norovirus has always just hit right before we go in September. Apparently I have no tolerance for this virus and after experiencing it for two trips in a row, I won't take chances.
That being said, to each his own and comfort level. Everyone is different and has a right to think and feel whatever they desire, after all this is America.
After we bomb the room we use the comforter and have had no norovirus issues since our first two trips. I will say that we use no antibacterial products in our home and we are rarely sick.
where do you purchase the hospital sanitizer bomb at...please tell..
LOL..Wow - I travel all the time, and have never worried about the bedspread. I happily use them without a care.
I mean really- so maybe newlyweds had sex on the blanket two days ago. Who cares?
I admit my husband sometimes throws himself on the bed after a shower - naked. He is still alive.
Germaphobes creep me out way more than the blankets.

This is a website a nurse told me about a few trips ago.

They do they do!!
Its been confirmed, the sheets are fine
Many hotels, including Disney, only change the bedspreads every so many days and not necessarily between guests.
If you're worried, don't use your bedspread

They may not change bedsheets for your stay becuase you'll be using the same sheets. They change it like every two days or three days. But as soon as the guest is checked out, they change everything!!!
Some people bring their own sheets down, but I'm pretty sure once you get in your room, you can ask mousekeeping to vome and change your sheets with you standing right there!! That might make you feel at ease!!!!![]()
I prefer to avoid other people's body fluids unless we are on at least a first name basis.
