If I was the housekeeper I would certainly judge you!!! How would anyone who you just made more useless, unnecessary work for not judge you? It is pretty obvious when you look at sheets on a bed that they are clean or used. IMO it is silly to have perfectly clean sheets taken off a bed and washed and new ones put on for no good reason. Oh well the heck with worrying about wasting water in a state that is in a drought more often than not. and adding to the costs of running the resorts, guess that's why rates go up.

You have to excuse me for wanting to take care of my health, and I am bringing lysol it is the easyiest way for everyone to sanitize the room

Insisting a clean bed be stripped and remade up using 2 sets of sheets that will have to be laundered and use resources is not taking care of your health it is being paranoid/overzealous whichever word you prefer. Not to mention adding to housekeeping costs and wasting the housekeepers energy.

My MIL bring down Lysol and sprays down everything!!! No matter if the person is just leaving the room..she still sprays it down!! But..that's her. It would be no different for you!!

I am another Lysol sprayer LOL... My dh thinks I am insane but it makes me feel better.. I spray the remotes, alarm, phone etc as well as everything else I can.. :rolleyes1 Just makes me feel better and only takes a few mins to do...

Have a great trip...

What would you do if you were in a hospital when sheets are changed only 3 days a week?

Take me to my room.

I will admit, I do check for bed bugs and obvious signs of prior activity; however, I do not fumigate and de germify before I lie. :)
:rotfl: I almost spit tea all over my laptop..

Maybe you could change your stay and book CL?
There we get fresh sheets every day and clean towels twice a day.
Talk about wasting water. :scared1:

Ive merged these two threads on the exact same topic.

If you have concerns about any aspect of your room - simply dial the housekeeping dept by pressing the housekeeping button on your phone.

I cannot stress that last part enough.

I just want to stress again, because it can't be said strongly enough:

Sheets and pillowcases are changed between guest stays at Disney resorts. NO reputable hotel would, as a matter of policy, not change the sheets between guests. That would very likely be a health code violation.

I think some of the confusion here is coming from the 'sheets are changed every three days' thing. That means that sheets are changed every three days during your stay. Disney used to change the sheets and towels every day of your stay, but in order to conserve water, they now do it every few days, unless you request to have the linens changed more frequently.

Did they change that policy recently?
Last year we got the sheets changed EVERY day without asking. There was a basket with fresh linen every day outside our door and later on the ladies from Mousekeeping took care of them.

Were you staying CL? I think the sheets are changed every day in the club level rooms.

I think it's a waste to change the sheets everyday. I mean, what's the point? How dirty can they get in 8 hours! Having the bed made up sure, but new sheets??? Come on...who on earth actually changes theirs at home that often. I don't get when hotels do this, nor when guests expect it. Now of course, in-between guests, oh my gosh YES!

(By the way, I'm not implying that the above poster expects this. I'm just quoting what they experienced on their trip.)

I certainly did not expected something like this,it just came with the room.:lmao:

Grand Floridian and it was indeed CL.

Someone asked if you would stay in a hospital that didn't change their sheets every day. Let me just say, the hospitals that I worked in (and they were very good hospitals) did not change them every day. They, of course, change them before a new patient but only every couple of days after that. How often do you change them at home?

I change my beds sheet once a week at home, BUT AT LEAST I KNOW WHO is sleeping on those sheets/in that bed....
