When worlds collide~the original flats meet in 4D!!

That was too funny!! Thanks for the laughs LiteBrite!!

We have a Mr. Bean's Christmas sketch (video) that is pretty hilarious too. Cutting off the top of a 50 foot tree from his apt. window to take for his own, directing the Salvation Army band, and all kinds of funny stuff with the nativity scene. If you haven't seen it, RUN to your nearest rental place that has his stuff!

Surprise, surprise, I cried again last night during the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol. God Bless us, Everyone! :sad1:

so , what did your family say about your crime scene?

Actually, DD was a little concerned for a few minutes there that some malevolent spirit was knocking Christmas trees over in our house. I mean, one unbalanced tree falling is shocking but believable, but when our beloved Simpich dolls get knocked about willy nilly for no (apparent) reason, well, that's starting to look like a pattern! :lmao:

Ok, Winkers, just for you....

Little Timmy's face expresses our shock and horror better than any words ever could -

After a long day of shopping and more shopping with my sister, we made our way into the farthest reaches of Wal-Mart's parking lot. We were both tired and down to our last penny. My sister, being pregnant, had a good excuse for her exhaustion. My only excuse was a retail therapy session gone wrong.

After walking 2.3 miles to the car, we added the last of our bags to the pile in the trunk and hopped in the car , trying to not become people-cicles.

I started the car, put on my seatbelt and turned on the headlights. As I was about to back out, I noticed a flashing light in front of me. It looked like my hazards were on, but the button hadn't been pushed.

I turned the engine off, killed the lights and noticed that there was still flashing lights. Aha..it was the car in front of us. Their alarm must have gone off.

Mom-mobile started back up and lights on, I began to back out. About half way out we realized the flashing lights were coming from Betsy...that's my mini van's name.

I pulled back into the parking space , turned off the lights and the engine but the lights were still flashing. After a quick call to D.Jay, who didn't know what could be causing it, I mustered the courage to drive back to my parents, where everyone was gathering for our Christmas party.

Totaly mortified and embarassed yet still laughing till it hurt, Dani and I made our way home, lights flashing and causing everyone to wonder what the crazy lady in the mini van was doing.

We pulled into the drive way to find our husbands waiting on the front porch in hopes to see the spectacle their wives were making. They soon found that it was the battery being nearly dead. I still don't understand it...the battery is almost dead, yet it can flash the lights on and off continuosly?

But, about an hour and $90 later, Betsy was as good as new and I had my Christmas present....a new battery. Gee, just what I asked Santa for.

Merry Christmas.....may your day be filled with peace, love and maybe an extra battery or two. Oh, and if you're going to be flashing...make sure it's your lights.

Oh no!! Sorry about the battery and glad you made it to safety. But I bet that WAS hilarious driving home not knowing why your car is having a mind of it's own. :rotfl2: That stinks that you had to spend 100 bucks on a battery at Christmas time!!! :sad2:
