When worlds collide~the original flats meet in 4D!!

Hey Cherie!

Have a wonderful trip "home"!! I hope it's all you dream of and more!

I know you'll be checking in with us, so we'll look for you! My DH is taking a 2 week staycation too, so that will severely limit my online fun. I guess the holidays make everyone sorta busy.

By the way, I saw you picked out your tile. I can't wait to see pix of that bee-u-tee-ful kitchen when it's all done!

I cannot believe what just happened.

I was sitting in my easy chair with my laptop, DISing away, enjoying the presence of the big beautiful (real) Christmas tree that we just got around to buying and putting up yesterday, when ..............

TIMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Down the thing fell! Right in front of me! Ornaments and strings of lights flying hither and yon, water all over the carpet! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

This is the 25th Christmas for hubby and me, and the 24th tree we've had (skipped one year, we were at WDW), and in all that time, including the years we had 2 cats and a toddler, never once has our tree fallen over.

Until I read the story of Winkers' twice falling tree. I'm just saying. :rolleyes1

That sucker had better not come down a second time! :rotfl2:

How'd I get that far behind? glenbbo - I could def create my own wind ensemble. :lmao: Winkers, the tree story had me cracking a gut. Ours lost a few key pieces of hardware this year and the dog keeps knocking it around, but so far it's still upright.

All the dementia postings had me smiling and sad at the same time. My great grandmother (who turns 102 in January) has pretty well lost all concept of reality. The stories we hear about her are both humorous and depressing at the same time. (Last week she told us the nurses had dropped her off in the woods and she had to find her way back.) One thing that is interesting though is that a few weeks ago she asked my mom where my Uncle Steve was. (He passed away a few years back.) When my mom replied she hadn't seen him in a while, my great grandmother told her that he always comes to see her everyday and sits and talks to her to keep her company. Something about it just gave me goosebumps.

Have a great trip Cherie! AND a fantastic Christmas!
I'm glad you enjoyed the tree story...it makes me laugh now...not so much when it hapened.
I'm sorry to hear about your Great Grandma, but that is a neat story about her seeing your uncle.:goodvibes

I'm pretending to be checking my email right now...

I'm going to have an ulcer by the time the house is finished....oh wait, I already have one.

Safe travels, Cherie, and a Merry Christmas in case you don't get a chance to check in beforehand!!! :santa:
thanks, Jackie! We had a smooth 11 hour drive, the mountain pass we were worried about was clear and dry.

Hope you are having safe journeys...

Will there be another picture of the tongue variety?
I will try to get a few tongue pictures.....if only my family drank spiked eggnog....;)

Yay!!! Hope you had a good safe drive! Have a very Merry Christmas with your family.
The only bad part about the drive was the kids annoying eachother for 10 hours.

Have a safe trip and enjoy the Holidays Cherie !!!
thanks rosie...I'll be on the look out for any hot italians..
