When will we see the first VGF resale?

weeks? months? years?

I guess within 2 months of being offered to the general public.

Sent from my phone using DISBoards Ap, please excuse any typos and autocorrect mistakes.

Now what would be the purpose of going through the buying process just to resell? I wouldn't imagine there's much prospect (if any) to turn a profit.

My guess is by mid January 2014. After the 2013 and borrowed 2014 points are used up. Someone trying to unload a stripped contract on uninformed rookies.

Unfortunately, turning a profit isn't why a lot of early sellers do so, I believe.

That's why the PP said after sales open to the general public. i.e., non members who have been around and know what to really expect from a DVC membership.

Things such as loan payments, maintenance fee payments, need to book WAY in advance in many cases. Things many don't really factor into their buying experience.

We have friends like that. Took them on the DVC tour a couple of years ago, mostly because we had a non park day scheduled for before the marathon and also for the ice cream! Afterward, my friends started talking about how they might be able to afford the month payments on the loan they'd need plus the maintenance fees.

I brought them back to reality. And they even KNEW about resales from me, yet were almost seduced by the sales pitch and the chance to get in on the pixie dust and magic.

I fear the DVC purchase for some families isn't really analyzed as much as it s/b and it's THOSE contracts that we might start seeing in a few months for VGF.

Yes, this exactly. People who bought because of the seductive sales pitch, but then realized when they got back home that they could actually not comfortably afford it. That or something unfortunate like a job loss or illness would cause people to sell, not people trying to turn a profit.

I bet it would depend on minimum buy ins too? Easier to list and sell a 50 pt contract if the official direct buy in is 160 or so.
