When will WDW and DL/CA shut down?

China took draconian measures to slow the spread of the virus that causes Covid-19. Apparently our government does not have the same resolve.

I am hoping WDW and DL/CA will shut down voluntarily instead of being ordered to.

Should they close them down every October when flu season hits? You realize tens of thousands of people have died since October in the US because of the flu, right?

Even if they could close down Disneyland, which I highly doubt, closing down WDW will effectively destroy the tourism market in Central Florida. Given it's the #1 destination for travel in the world, it's highly doubtful a glorified flu is going to shut it down.

min guessing it was only a recommendation, not a mandate. Since the govt controls the Louvre they closed it, but Disney gets to make their own decisions about DLP.

The Louvre is closed because the staff are refusing to work due to Coronavirus fears. The government didn't shut it down.

As long as WDW stays open through 3/29 I'm good.

Nope. Disney does not own those parks and things work very differently in those particular countries than they do here.

You clearly don't understand the difference between DL and especially WDW, and every other Disney park in the world. They can't be forced to do anything. This isn't China.

You clearly don't understand they were not FORCED to close down any of the parks and certainly not Tokyo. They most certainly can be forced to and you are ignorant if you think they cannot be.
