When will the ME package arrive?

I've used ME many times since they first started the service and been very happy with it, however this is the first time I've booked with Disney directly; we usually go through CAA who receives all the Disney documents and lets us know when they arrive, and I collect them in person. Since we have made arrangements with Disney directly this time we should get the documents delivered by mail to our house. When should I expect them, do you think? :rolleyes1

There's been a bit of a "back and forth" about this particular reservation, involving a package reservation and adding on one night of a room-only so I'm a bit more concerned about glitches than I normally would be. Normally I have no concerns, and been very happy with ME but this is the first time I've not used a professional to make it so.

I have only ever made my travel plans directly with The Disney Travel Co & have never had any problems. They've always been very easy to work with & their service excellent! :)

ME documents arrive by courier about 4 to 5 weeks prior to your check in date. Your itinerary package & souvenir luggage tags arrive a week or two later via the mail.

My daughters received their resort package on Wednesday and DME package two days later at almost exactly one month out. :)

Awesome, thanks. We're 35 days today, so I'll expect them anytime soon. :cool1:

This is the first time we are using ME. We check in 18 days from now and have not received any documents. Someone told me that if we don't get any documents we can just pick up our luggage and go to where the bus is and show our reservation confirmation.

I always get mine about a month before I leave. When they come you have to sign for it. You get your ME booklet and two luggage tags (real nice souvenir quality). Did you book with a travel agent or with Disney directly? Did you get a package or room only booking? I don't think that would matter but MarianneF I would contact Disney directly. Maybe they can put a rush on it. I would be scared to just go without these papers but if you know someone who has done this and they didn't have any issues then I imagine it would be fine. But what about your luggage? Would you still get that on time? I never have any luggage I am just myself and I carry on. I usually have a backpack for my entire suitcase. I would be so paranoid of having my luggage be lost!

I read that you need to book ME 10 days before arrival. I called yesterday (10 days out) and the cast member I spoke to said that ME was listed on my room only reservation that I booked in September. My flight information was missing even though I gave it to the cast member when I booked the room. The cast member didn't know why we didn't get luggage tags. He said it is too late to get them. He told me to pick our luggage up and go to the ME desk on Side B.
My only complaint would be that he told me to pick our luggage up on Side A and go down one level to transportation and go over to Side B. Everyone tells me that the only way to get to Side B from Side A is by going to the third level.
I'm a little nervous because this is our first time using ME. I convinced my DH that we should try something new and different this time.

We just got our ME docs in the mail yesterday for our March 5th trip. :cool1:

I'm not surprised that I didn't get the luggage tags. We are one of the houses that did not receive any mail for 2 weeks over Christmas. Also, I sent an important, time sensitive letter via Expresspost in December. It was supposed to get there in 3 days. It took 10 days. Canada Post has apologized and is supposed to be refunding me the postage but I haven't seen the money yet and it doesn't make up for the anxiety it caused me.
I booked our room at WDW in September. I received a reservation confirmation in the mail the last week of November. The post mark was for the first week of October. Where was it all that time?
