When will seven dwarfs mine train open?

Well, I'm still excited to have a new ride but 38" tell me to not expect it to be a "thrill" ride or at least nothing more than the Barnstormer at best.

From all indications, it will likely be somewhere between Barnstormer and Big Thunder Mountain in "thrills", but probably a little closer to the latter.

...I'm pretty sure I'll love it...

Me too. I love the most extreme roller coasters, but I also love moderate coasters like Space Mountain and Big Thunder. I even enjoy Barnstormer! I think I will love the new Mine Coaster because of the theming. I am hoping that there are some neat scenes underneath in the mines. Plus the side-to-side swinging of the ride vehicles looks like fun. So even if it is not an "extreme" roller coaster, my guess is that I will like it.

As for when it opens, clearly this is a "who knows". Certainly 2014, and maybe as early as April or May, but it's hard to say. I may go to WDW in March, and I am not expecting the Mine Coaster to even be in "soft openings" then.

It's a diamond mine. What's not to love? ;)

we were hoping this would be open in april for trip in April - but after reading up on here not holding my breathe

I'm glad it doesn't look fast. About all I can handle anymore is thunder mountain and Goofy roller coaster.

Me too. I have really become a wimp in my older age. :confused3 We did an upside down/twisty coaster at Worlds of Fun this past summer, and I had my eyes shut the whole time and could not stop the panic rambling. My kids were crying they were laughing so hard.

I have promised them I will be better for RnR, I used to love it. We'll see...

We are going in late April/early May and I was hoping that it would be officially opened by then.

Now, I'll just be content with a soft opening.
