When will airline deals go beyond Aug 7??

I need to book 6 tix from phoenix to orlando. All the travel deals only go to aug 7 right now. I can get america west now for $253 PP, but was hoping for a better deal, or do you think this is it? SWA has 198 RT, but only until aug 7 as well. If i fly home 1 day later on america west, i can get 188 PP, which is what i want, but i am already extending it by 1 or 2 days so another day is out of the question. I am leaving on a sat sept 11-the earlier the better, and returning on monday sept 20-hoping around noon or so. Help if you can!!

I check several travel websites for air fares every day. When that good deal comes along I will snatch it up in a hurry. We are going mid-August.

Whil checking on Orbitz today I found a fare from SLC to MCO for $271. That is the lowest I have seen it so far, but I know that if I am patient that a better deal will come. Most fares for my route are in the $300-$320 range right now.

I also plan to bid on Priceline. But knowing what the fares are at the other websites is helpful when placing a bid. I anticipate that I will probably end up paying around $200-$225 for my flight, but I am prepared and have budgeted $250 per ticket just in case.

I think that the closer your dates get the fares will start to decline somewhat. But again- checkin the other websites will help you be informed as to what the fares are going for.
