When will '09 dates be released?

can someone explain what inventory control is.....for dcl....

Inventory control handles all advance requests. Mainly people looking for suites, but they also handle requests for specific cruises. Example: your family is going on a cruise in 2009. You can only go a certain time of the year, like summer. You could fax a request to inventory control for the specific week and even specific room that you want. They'll call you prior to bookings opening to the general public.

Although, from what I've heard they're not accepting anymore requests for '09.

Got a tease today from DCL....Got a thank you card for sailing on DCL to the Med. It said to log on to castaway club and our gift would be there....it was! they have created a screen saver with photos from the MED cruise. Very cute...also has an option to put in your own photos...makes a slide show....
Ok, now I REALLY want to know where it is going in 2009.....I'm ready

Don't know if this means anything or not...but I just got off the rocking Magic on Saturday. While onboard I attended a reception for Castaway Club members. Captain Tom spoke to the crowd about several things such as the new ships, listening to cruisers wishes, etc. He then said something about itinararies, and asked "how many of you would like to go to Hawaii?" lots of applause....."How many of you would like to go to Alaska?" lots of applause....."how many of you would like to to to the Baltic" lots of applause. He never said Disney was going there, but he did make those comments.

Close to what he was saying in the Med in the summer, the cruisers mentioned Hawaii Alasak and Med, he brought up the baltic and northern europe.

same thing he said to us when we were in the Med in June....

It seems they have, but we have seen hints and a possible 3 destinations it will be interesting to see if we did guess them right.

BUT - I was on the Wonder about 10 days ago and asked the booking CM about the 2009 dates.

She told us that they would be released about the 2nd week of December, 2007.

Thats great we are getting a consistent response there will be something the first two weeks of December, but not sure if thats the first part of 2009 only, or most bar the summer, or everything including summer specials.

We haven't even cruised yet..lol...but I can wait til our Feb cruise and hope to get a discount and book onboard! So its fun reading all the speculation! I just think DH will be spoiled with our cat 4 room and wont go for anything else, which I would be more than happy with to cruise again!!!
