When will '09 dates be released?

I think we need to find someone who has contacts in the Department of Interior and see if they could possibly find which cruiselines have applied for permits to sail Glacier Bay in 2009. We know Princess and HAL have historical contracts with GB but in 2007 they opened Glacier Bay up to more cruise traffic. IMO, I think if DCL ever does Alaska, they will want to do Glacier Bay and have a NPS Naturalist on board to provide commentary .

Anyone on the board work for the Dept. of Interior?

Well we still seam to be down to four places for the summer of 2009, remember Wonder should still do 3/4 nights and Magic January to April and September on-wards its normal 7 night trips.

You seem very anxious to find out these dates (as am I . . .LOL). Are you planning another REPO for 2009??

I was trying to figure out how I could convince DH that we should cruise in Feb / Mar 2009 which is a mere 6 months after our once in a life time Panama REPO . . . any suggestions??

I think everyone wants to know, but I am starting to plan for 2009, depending on what they do I might do a DCL cruise or something else.

The Panama is a once in a lifetime cruise and will be fantasic, 15 nights will be great, each person likes and dislikes things so I cannot say about 9 months later, but personally I would not do another within 9 months the shows will be simular, and you can have too much of a good thing.

I find about a year between them makes you wish for them even more.

I am sure you will get 'some' by then, say the first part of 2009 January to April standard cruises, but he summer ones might still not be out.

All this waiting is bogging my mind down!! When is it again that we should expect to hear about the special cruises for '09? I know we're hoping they don't release everything at once. With all these pages and all the rumors, I've kind of lost sight of the estimated release date for the special summer cruises!?!?

OK looking at past release dates as an indicator:-

This time last year DCL released the 3/4 Wonder trips, its standard cruises for January to April. Then the Magic to April.

Then we saw the Full year Wonder 3/4 night trips and the Magic September to December.

The last thing to be released was the Panama and Mexico cruises for 2008 these were released on January 31st.

Now some people have posted that they have been told ALL cruises will be released first week in December.

This would mean a delay in the normal release dates for the Wonder but an early date for the special cruises.

There is a lot of misinformation from DCL, many CM's speculate, but I personally cannot see all cruises being released at the same time as last year there was mayhem on January 31st just when Mexico and the Repos came out

I can reveal the truth on the Alaska mystery, the travel agent misunderstood the menu, she read Baked Alaska and thought it was the destination.

Well on the first bit its the strong message of 'closer to home' coming form the ship and leading travel agents, that implies Carribean maybe north to Bermuda or southern Carribean.

Dispodcast said Alaska thats the other court so someone wil lbe happy.
