when waitlist comes thru for part ressie do you get modified confirmation?

I had VWL reserved for 5nights. Waitlisted for 2nights BWV which did come through. I have new confirmation saying we're staying at BWV those 2nights. Should I have received a modified confirmation for the VWL saying its 3nights, not 5? The online site shows 3 but I dont have modified confirmation.

I don't believe that you will get a new one for the VWL. If my memory serves me correctly, only the ones for the BWV will come.

ok thats exactly what I do have
so i shouldnt be concerned that the VWL checkout date is later on the paperwork I do have?

Don't be concerned. As long as the on-line system shows it correctly, you'll be fine. If it makes you feel better, call MS tomorrow just to double check with them.
