DD has always gone to a sitter that has kept babies for 25 years. So DD was used to being around others and interacting.
However, this past year (at just over 2) she started going to the Enrichment School at our church. She loves it! She goes two mornings a week and is learning so much. She loves the teacher, other kids, and opportunity to have structured play. It is offered 4 days a week.
I think when they hit 2, it's important they start getting some consistent interaction with other kids. They need to learn the proper way to share, converse, just be around others their own age.
I guess your other option is to get your nanny to start going to play groups, children's museums, play dates, classes etc. Maybe you could give her extra money to ensure your little one is socializing outside of the house.
