When to Request Golf Cart Service to Lighthouse Point at Guest Services

DH is on oxygen and can only walk a very, very short distance. Once we are on board DCL at Cape Canaveral should we immediately go to guest services to request a spot for golf cart service that is being offered to get to the island at LP? Or will we have to wait until we start to sail? We would like to go to the island as early as possible, to avoid the heat of the day as it effects his portatable oxygen equipment. Any tips?

I don't believe you need to go immediately upon embarkation. The day prior to the LP stop is fine. In fact, I've read some reports that they weren't doing sign-ups and just announced where guests should gather that morning for a golf cart ride. Be prepared that unless you require assistance as well he may be the only one in your party to ride.

I'm assuming that they can accommodate at transport chair as well?

I’m not sure. It’s a regular golf cart, and there may not be cargo space. The tram to get to the other side of the island is accessible.
