When to purchase lightening lane?

This is probably a really stupid question but if I have a park ticket for a Friday and am not staying on property which day is 3 days before? Is it Tuesday or Wednesday? I'm not sure if the "3 days" includes the day of the ticket or not......TIA!

You can reassure yourself by going onto the app and trying to buy LL for your day. It will then say you can't purchase until X date.
