When to purchase airfare?

I am not really an experianced traveler, and most traveling I've done has been via car. I'm taking my family to Disney in Sept 2010 - already booked. When would be a good time to purchase airfare? Right now I'm finding the cheapest flights from Detroit to Orlando to be about $219 per person (round trip). Is this a great deal or should I hold off??? Any suggestions?

Well, I always tell those who are flying about the same times I am, to just wait until the day after I book my flights....the fares always seem to go down within a day of my purchase!!!
You need to decide on a fare that you can live with. Then, when you see a fare that meets your requirements, book it. We just aren't seeing those wonderful fares anymore. THe days of $70 each way seem to be behind us.
I think $219 is a pretty good fare if it's at times you want, and an airline that you like.
