Hi all,

On a Sunday in May (actually, Mother's Day) when should we leave Disney Studios to get to MCO for a Delta flight at 5:40pm? no rental car return, just a drop off.

Also, on a Monday in May, when should we leave our pool home in Emerald Island (right off 192, West of WDW) for a 10:30am SWA flight (assuming we did e-check in the day before). We will have to return our National rental car (Emerald Reserve).

I am thinking 2 hours for the Sunday Delta flight and 3 hours for the SWA/rental car return trip.

thank you very much for any advice!

The security line at MCO is always very busy anytime after the 6 or 7 AM flights leave. So you are looking at a very busy airport time for departure. I would leave MGM by 3:00 to give you 2 hours at the airport. You should consider that you may wait as long as 45 minutes to get through security. Also if you plan to stand-in line at the Delta counter, expect long lines and more wait time. MCO is a VERY busy airport, it doesn't matter what day of the week or year it is. If you can drop your luggage off at the curbside, you'll save a lot of time avoiding the lines inside.

Thank you! Any advice on the morning SWA flight??? Anyone???

I would allow at least 2 hours at the airport for your morning flight. The A side has very long lines to get through security. The curbside lines can be long also.

I would leave your place on 192 around 7:30.

Ok, I will give it three hours to be safe. I just wanted to see if we could get to Beauty and the Beast for the first show, which is usually like 1:15, I think. Thanks Safetymom!
