DH, DS2 and DS5 starting private kindergarten this fall--trip must conclude by Nov 30th. Which would you pick knowing Oct would pull him 5 days from school, Nov only 31/2?

I would vote for Oct trip. Weather will be great plus crowds will be small. Trip just before Thanksgiving will be crowded. Besides, whats the difference between missing 3.5 vs. 5 days of kindergarten?? Go for October!!

Oct. trip vote also. Kindergarten is not a huge deal breaker. The weather will be better, and the crowds will be less.

I voted for October also. You'll have plenty of years coming up to worry about working around the school calendar, believe me I know! Go ahead and enjoy the low crowds now while you can.
