We are planning to take our DDs to WDW in 2004. The last time we went, we we there in October, and it was a terrific time to go. That's when we were thinking of going next year. However, I've been finding alot of information saying that October is pretty much as busy as June, July & August anymore, and that the parks still close early in the evenings, even though the crowds are much larger than they used to be in October.

I would greatly appreciate any advice/information on this. We're thinking that if we're going to run into the same crowds, maybe we should just do a summer trip so that we won't have to take our oldest DD out of school. Any opinions out there?

The two advantages of going in the summer are : 1. The kids are out of school, and 2. The parks are open longer than in the winter months.
We went last july and would never go in the dead of summer again!! Very hot and exhausting, The kids were very good, considering the heat. Most days were above 95 with 90% humidity. If you can stand this, then go for it. We would rather sacrifice a few days of school for better weather.
