so big huge crowds don’t scare me lol. We had an amazing time during Christmas week, even on capacity days with planning ahead. I loved having everything up and running and available every night.

Is there another time of year when this is the case? Shows and fireworks every night and early and late closing times?

We were planning another Christmas trip, but I got to thinking I would love to see Disneyland NOT decked out in Christmas.

Thoughts?

Spring break or summer. We just went during Thanksgiving this last time and before that we've gone for Spring break. ( Usually the first week of April for us ) We love it, because of the long hours and everything's going, it's great! We usually get 4 or 5 day hoppers and go about every 3 to 4 yrs.

early openings may be the most difficult objective to plan for...always all over the map on when those happen....but late at night is always good because the of the locals coming into the park after work or starting a work "weekend" in the middle of the week. From the discussion happening the past 30 days, the week before MHP is looking to be good, though it will be decked out, so a pure form Disneyland would be in the summer, though once again there are 12 weeks to choose from and all have plus and minus crowding issues.

Definitely summer. Just be mindful of Grad Nites and the AP blockout calendar dates. Also, HM will close in late August for the HMH overlay.

As Olaf would say... “In SUUUUUUMMER!”

I like last few days of June/first few days of July, personally. 4th of July morning at DCA was dreamy last year (we left by 1 so I can’t comment on the rest of the day).

If you want everything to be open then Spring Break this year won't work - but by July you would think all rides will be back online and they would have full operating hours with nightly shows.

Oh yeah not that soon. Maybe thinking spring /summer 2019..

2019....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! Most of us here are going to be like wall street traders on the summer of 2019...when to hype up the visit and when to bow out of the visit. Research SWGE and the impact on crowding before opening, during opening and after opening. At this point in time, 2018 is the best value for a Disneyland visit and mabybe into march 2019...after that,.....it is all about A New Hope??
