When to fly and Uber or fly and rent a car? (I'm more interested in the cost.)

I am starting to plan an all girl friends trip for next Feb. 2022. With ME being eliminated, I'm trying to decide what will be more cost efficient/convenient for us. We have never rented a car so I'm not in the loop as far as pricing and we have never Ubered either.

1- What are the apprx. costs of getting to and from MCO to lets say, Pop Century? (Probably the resort we'll choose)

2- What about Ubering back and forth from Pop Century to MK? (Farthest park so I can gauge for the closer parks )

3- What have you all paid for a 7 day car rental? ( I realize there is a resort parking fee that will need to be considered ).

4- If renting a car, where would you recommend renting it from? MCO or Disney?

Sorry for all the questions. I totally out of my comfort zone with this part of the planning. TIA!!!

You can price Uber right on their website. That will be helpful in approximating cost.

similarly, you can go ahead and start pricing rental cars right now via something like Hotwire or individual company websites. Any past indication of what people paid, especially before the pandemic, is likely not a good representation of what prices are or will be in the future

Go on the different car rental sites & get some pricing for the dates you want. They offer specials & deals so it's hard to say I get this price & you might not.

Same with Uber / Lyft. Go on the app or website & schedule the ride (just don't order it at the end!) to get some estimate pricing.

The parking fee at the resorts vary, but I believe it starts at $15/day at the Values so it adds up quickly. Will you use the car more than just to/from the airport or will it be sitting in the hotel parking lot all week?

As for #4 I don't understand. Why would you rent the car at Disney if you need it when you arrive at the airport to get to Disney? Or do you mean let Disney handle the reservation process? Again that would depend if you can get a better deal by booking yourself directly with the car rental company or if Disney gets better pricing.

ETA---and before you book anything check what the cancellation policy is. Booking thru a 3rd party rather than the car rental company direct may change your cancellation options.

We always rent a car for our 9 day trip because we do a day or 2 at other area attractions. I am an Alamo Insider and for a mid size car a few years ago we picked it up at MCO and I believe it was around $400 something.
Not sure about Uber but we have taken a taxi from one resort to another for an early breakfast and it was about $15 plus tip.
