When to call for a Ressie??

I want to stay a few nights at SSR before our 08 Oct. cruise. Should I call now or not to worry since it is not a busy time of year???
What do you all think???

Actually it IS a busy time of year for DVC. The Food & Wine Fest will be going on so the Epcot resorts fill up very quickly (BWV and BCV). After they fill there tends to be spill over to the other dvcs. SSR is large so won't fill up as quickly as the others, but eventually it will be full.

It's not a dire emrgency, but if you know your dates and know you want to stay there, I would reserve soon. Why put yourself in a bind?

Isnt too early to book for Oct '08? it has to be at least 11 mons. out right? But anyway, i dont think you'll have a problem, SSR is big especially now that Grandstand is opening in the next couple of weeks.

I think people believed you meant you were going October 8th, 2007. It sounds like you mean you are going in October of 2008 correct?

You can't call for October 2008 until November 2007. But you won't want to wait until sometime that summer. If you want your home resort of SSR you probably can wait until this time next year (but you know your dates, why wait?). If you want to change resorts, you'll need to call right away when the seven month window opens (about this time next year).
