We are staying at Saratoga for thanksgiving and want to purchase the standard dining plan. Do we have to add it a certain number of days before arrival? Do we pay in full when we arrive? When we add it?

Thanks in advance

Q.
I'm staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and would like to purchase a Disney Dining Plan. How can I purchase one?

A.
As long as you're staying on property at Walt Disney World Resort you can purchase the Disney Dining Plan. You can add the Disney Dining Plan to your Disney Vacation Club Resort room reservation at least 48 hours prior to Check-In. It cannot be added once you arrive at the Resort.

If you would like to add the Disney Dining Plan to your Walt Disney World Resort reservation, please call (800) 800-9800† Or go to Vacation Center in the My Membership box. Once in the Vacation Center, click on Upcoming Reservation, choose Travel Plan Details, and then click on Add a Dining Plan.

Everyone staying in the room must participate in the Disney Dining Plan and full payment is required when you add on the Disney Dining Plan. It must be purchased for the entire length of the stay. The Disney Dining Plan cannot be added at the Resort.

Cost of DDP with DVC discount for 2018 - https://disneyvacationclub.disney.g...planning/plan-things-to-do/disney-restaurants

I will add to this that you have to now call MS to add the Dining Plan. The button is gone from the Travel Plan Details, but they haven't updated the website to say otherwise.

My 2 cents, get on line right on at the 180 day mark and book all you can as that is a busy time and reservations fill quickly.

That's just regular price.....no discount for DVC, right?

Yes it is, however, if Disney raises the price of the DDP during the year, the DVC rate stays the same through December. So it possible for a price difference between DVC Dining Plan cost and the current Disney charge. I don't what the rumors are for 2018 raises.
