and your in front, GO, dont you want ME in the back to get thru the light also

It sounds like the drivers in Ohio are just like the drivers in Georgia. We must get behind the same idiots!

Rest assured, if you're behind me at a traffic light and I'm the first one there, you'll be eating my dust in no time.;) I think the green light means GO RACE.:p

I don't know about that, Pop Daddy. Sometimes the other driver keeps going on red. Sometimes, a slight delay is good.:teeth:

when the light changes if everyone would just agree to floor it, think how many would get thru :moped:

But please be kind and not blare your horn the instant the light changes. Give the driver in front a small part of a second to actually notice it has changed. I do my best to keep on top of the switch from red to green, but geesh are some drivers impatient!
Drive safely and defensively this holiday season. :D

reminds me of when DD was taking driver's ed...
one evening when i picked her up after class, she said:

"Mom, now that I know the REAL rules, I'm not riding with you any more!"

I like to think that I'm a very patient person... EXCEPT when i get behind the wheel - then - LOOK OUT!

And don't you just love the drivers who slow down for a GREEN light in anticipation of it turning red??! IT'S STILL GREEN....GO ALREADY!!!!!!!

*Whew, I feel better now* :faint:

lol, ohhhhhhhhh I hate that, dont people know I am always in a hurry

Just remember, it may be my "rookie driving with a learners permit" daughter ahead of you! :earseek: :hyper:

Speaking of inconsiderate, head up there rear end drivers, I seriously got the crap scared out of me the other day. We were on a 2 lane highway, daughter driving, me instructing. Speed limit was 60mph, which she was doing. Car that followed behind us for several miles seemed perfectly content to follow and never once appeared interested in passing. If they had, daughter would have pulled over to the shoulder just like she is supposed to do.

Anyway, I was dumbfounded when I look in my passenger side mirror to see a Dodge truck, hauling a car, passing us on the PASSENGER SIDE at a speed of at least 75 - 80 mph! Yes folks, this jerk had already passed the person behind us and was flying by us too on the shoulder of the highway. As he flew by, he sent rocks flying everywhere.

I cannot tell you how much I wish I had been driving, because I would have followed that idiot to at least get the license plate of the car he was hauling then called the police.

There was absolutely no sense in that. My daughter could have easily made a big mistake to try to get out of his way. As it was, she held her line and didn't flinch. I was so proud of her.

They probably see you without a seatbelt on and they think they should slow you down.:teeth:

I am the person you beep at and I will only go slower. :p

Still not wearing a seat belt?????

I'm always in a hurry too, and I get slightly ;) irritated at people who aren't. lol

Today, I(and a few other people) was sitting at a red light on a one way street downtown(so there are like 5 lanes) and this guy comes flying behind us and uses the clear lane and goes right through the red light.. he didn't even slow down....glad noone was coming the other way...

why would we want that to happen Jason:teeth:

my quote is, "what color green are you waiting for"

my husband's quote is, " it's the big one on the right"

i won't even get started on what i think...

Speaking of lights. For three years, my oldest daughter has been racing a Jr. Dragster (even won a championship last season).

When drag racing, she watches the lights on the "Christmas Tree" to know when to go. For her classes it's yellow, yellow, yellow, green, with .5 seconds between each light. To get the "best light" she is supposed to take off after the 3rd yellow but BEFORE the green light. If she leaves on green, she's too late. Leave before the 3rd yellow and she gets a red light (automatic loss).

Now that she has her learner's permit, when we are out driving on the streets, I find myself hoping she doesn't gun it on yellow. LOL!

Sorry, go ahead and yell at me, I don't go on green. I wait until the intersection is clear. It's pretty common around here for 2 or 3 more cars to "squeeze" through once the light turns red. If I go immediately on green, it will only slow you up further to get around the accident.

:rotfl:

We have a band in Maine called "The Wicked Good Band." They do Maine humor. And we pick on Massachusetts drivers. One of their songs is called "The Massachusetts Institute of Driving." Here is part of it:

Never wait more than .0001 seconds after the light turns green to lay on your horn at the driver in front of you. :teeth:

I think my DD is going to be the one honking when she gets older.

She is 5 and sits in the back seat and yells

MOM IT'S GREEN, GO!!! GO!!!!! GO!!!!!

She must not see the 3 to 4 cars infront of me NOT moving.

I wonder where she get this from?
