When should we do this?

On our first day in Florida we have an ADR for 4:00 for Hoop Dee Doo. We're not going to a park that day. Instead, we'd like to go to Fort Wilderness early and rent a pontoon boat for maybe 1.5-2 hours. I know the rental shop runs from 11-5.

So my first question is: staying at Glenbrook Resort (8 miles to gate) how long should we plan on driving to Fort Wilderness, getting to the rental area, getting our boat etc...? I'm assuming an hour?

We have will-call tickets, so I'm assuming we need to be At HDDR by 3:30.

Factoring in the summer (end of June) heat and chance of rain, what time should we plan on being on the water, in the boat? Would 12:00 or 1 be early enough? Likewise, we don't want to have "too much" time in bewteen the boat ride and the HDDR.

1. Getting to FtW-Allow 30 minutes, give-or-take.

2. Park and take a FtW Internal Bus to the Settlement Area (boat rental marina)- Allow 30-50 minutes, give-or-take, including getting the rental, getting checked out on the boat, getting lifejackets, etc.

3. Pick up your Hoop tickets at the Pioneer Hall Guest Relations/Concierge window (before or after your boat ride.)
The GR/Concierge window is to the left of the restrooms on the outside of Pioneer Hall (on the left side of the Hall.)
Getting the tickets will only take a few minutes, especially if you stop on your way to the boar dock.

4. Seems about right. Always build in more time than you think.
We like to spend some time just relaxing at FtW.
