When should luggage tags arrive?

Does anyone know at what point out info from ME (most importantly, the luggage tags) should arrive? We check in May 3.

You may want to call and make sure they were sent, I'm thinking you should have had them last week. Did you give them your flight info and request ME, we forgot once and nothing came. If you call today you should still be able to receive tags. (866) 599-0951 Have your reservation number and flight info available when you call.

Our arrival date is May 12th, and we just got ours on Monday.

We are traveling with my parents, and they insisted on using a travel agent. I emailed her and she told me she took care of it and we are all signed up for ME...but I just am the sort of person who doesn't trust anyone but myself for this kind of stuff.

Silly question....but if I call to ask about it, will using a TA prevent me from being able to set it up myself (if she hasn't done so already)? I was reading somewhere that you are limited in what you can do with your own vacation info if using a TA, bc they have to do it...?

Just called. They were mailed out the end of March...but mailed to the address of the travel agent!? Does anyone know if that is normal!? Seems weird... I assume she will mail them to us...but why not just have the stuff mailed directly to us!?

Absolutely normal. Here's why. When you use a TA, they pretty much 'own' the reservation. So, you can't make any calls to make changes or such. As soon as you are at the resort, or airport, the reservation is now yours. This is one reason I seldom use a TA...I want complete control over my trip.
So, yes, DME stuff gets mailed to the agent, who in turn is supposed to mail it to you...or you can go and get it if you're nearby.
I'm heading to WDW in mid-May. I've had my DME packet for over a month now...I think I got it in early March!!! Way earlier than I expected. Used to be they got mailed about 4 weeks prior to travel.

Having a travel agent drives me insane! I am such a control freak! My mom (who is traveling with us) insisted. Ugh...

I can't believe you have had yours so long!! I hope we get ours soon!!

It does confuse me though...how come our magic bands could be mailed directly to is, but not our DME stuff?

I would call or email the travel agent just to be sure I get them.
