I am currently a high school senior. I will graduate this June and have already committed to the university of my choice (public state school). I have always wanted to do the DCP and it may actually help me with my future career. However, there is a dilemma. Based on my AP test scores and college-level classes taken (I bought local college credits) and the way my school accepts them, I will be going into college with at least 35 credits, and counting. This is good in that I can take a semester off to do DCP, not worry about school work, and still graduate early. However, I emailed my future school and they say most of their students do the DCP in their sophomore of junior years. Since I am on track to graduate early, and could even graduate in three years, I will not have both sophomore and junior years as options. So when would be the best time to do it? Fall of my second year? Spring of my second year? Should I wait to see how things play out? Either way, I'm graduating early, so count on the fact that I'd have to do it within no more than a seven semester time frame (actually five because Freshman year 2016-2017 is not an option for me). Thank you.
