Do you make them in order by date or by popularity? My window opens Monday & though I have done this many times before, I always freak out!

Oops! Darn iPhone...that would be dining reservations!

I make mine in order of date, so I don't make any errors. I'm afraid I'll make one for the wrong date after taking weeks to decide which ones I want for which date.

Mine were pretty equal in popularity though except for one. I had 8, made up of 7 character meals and Ohana. Only one not as popular was Hollywood and Vine. But Chef Mickey's is ultra popular but it is our last one of the trip so I made it last and I still got it at the time I wanted.

Have fun. I love ADR day

sounds like you are far enough in advance that you shouldnt have to worry about popularity. So go by day just to make sure you keep everything straight.

When I booked ADRs last month for our Oct trip, I booked Ohana dinner first for arrival night, then Chef Mickey bkfst for departure day, then my others. A few days later I went in and added an Ohana bkfst and had no problem getting a decent time.

Good luck and happy upcoming ADR day :thumbsup2

I always make mine in order of popularity.

When booking ADRs on day 180, the chart I use has my ADRs ranked by popularity- and then the columns to the right of each one list out the meal (b,l,d) + date, the ideal time + an acceptable range, space to fill in the time we got and finally, space to input the confirmation number.

It's not until I'm past the entire 180+10 window that I move to a chart that has my ADRs in chronological order.

A lot of this comes down to what you're booking. If you have 'Ohana dinner, Rose & Crown timed w/Illuminations, Cali Grill timed with wishes, a pre-park opening slot at CRT or Crystal Palace, or Le Cellier lunch- it's usually best to rank those towards the top. Even on day 180, I had to settle a bit. On top of that...the other day, I found that prime spots at Tutto and 50s PT were gone by the time I got to them on my list.

I booked at my 180 day mark and did popularity. I got all the restaurants with the times I wanted except my California Grill is at 9:15. So if can still be hard to get the times you want at popular places.

Heh. I go by some crazy random order where I pick days and plop stuff in :p. I think it's a mixture of Chronological and Popularity, but it works.

In practice though, it'd be best to do it grouped by popularity, since if you have the popular stuff near the end of the trip, and you find there's no availability, you now have to check for other days and rearrange. At least if doing them by popularity, you're going to see that easier and it'll be one less step to cancel the old.

My 180 was last Monday and I did most of the booking online. I did mine by popularity. I had a list clearly made out of everything I wanted for the 10 days and checked them off as I made the reservations. I got everything I wanted including Ohana, Tusker House, and Crystal Palace pre park opening breakfasts, Thanksgiving at Jiko and many other signatures. I was so happy to get everything I wanted. Now jut waiting for them to open up the Candlelight Processional packages!

I usually go for the one or two that are most important to me that I think may be hard to get or that I NEED for that day, and that day only - that way if need to try to think of plan B for another tiime for it, then I get that done with first.
I really don't think when booking at 180 days it matters - everything will be available - unless not loaded into the system yet.

I am very nervous about making ADR's Tuesday morning. Is it better to call or make them online? Also what time will the online Dining start?
I am in CST. I may not be able to sleep for the next two nights :worried:

I am making mine tomorrow, so I know just how you feel! Online reservations open up at 6 a.m. EST & phone lines open at 7 a.m. EST. I plan on starting online & will call if the system seems off. I made them online last time, & it was great!
