We will be there July 11th. We are driving from Illinois but staying in Valdosta overnight. I want to get a great room and I have heard how the poly is asking people when they check in what room they would like. I would like to get this to. So when would be the best time to check in so you can get a good room before anyone else does?

early as possible. I've checked in at 7am before. my room was actually ready. kinda crazy, but it is really important for us to stay in Tahiti! :goodvibes

IMHO, early. We try to book the earliest flight out of PHL (6:30 am, but we're not a long way from the airport!) and with luck, arrive around 10:00 am. We've rarely been disappointed.

Rozzie,
Why do you like Tahiti so much? What do you think of the other side of the resort, near the boat landing? We have ressies for a lagoon room the week of June 9. I don't know which building to request. I didn't enjoy being in Rapa Nui last time - close to TTC but FAR from GCH. I think they put us so far out b/c we checked in around 8:30 pm and everything else had been taken even though I reqeusted Samoa. I was thinking the other side might be better and we'd be able to hop on the boat to MK. Definitely the earlier you check in the better. Lines get long too, the later in the afternoon you wait.

Tahiti is our favorite because it is on the beach and right next to TTC. We are epcot lovers, and it is so easy to hop on the monorail and grap an eggroll in a moments notice. It is also a newer longhouse, has balconies, and has a larger bathroom than some of the others. Right now, I think it is under rehab, and due back up in late aug. I think. I would go to Tikiman's site and get the info all for you, but well, it is still too hard to even think about not having all that valuable info at our fingertips...... steve, if you are reading this, you are truly missed! :worried:

I try to check in as early as possible. Last Oct. we checked in before 9a.m., and not only was there no one in line, our room was ready. I know the room being ready is not the norm, but a wonderful surprise.

Just came back on wed and we stayed in Tahiti and it was beautiful. We checked in at 9:30 am and no one was there. They didn't ask us what room we wanted but I asked for non smoking and got that. He then said, Oh I have an awsome room ready for you and it was an upgrade to a lagoon view! Yee Haw! Lucky us! Early is the way to go.

We usually get to our resort around 10:00 or 10:30 AM and we have always had a room ready for us. This is our favorite time to arrive as we can leave PA around 6:30 and be checked into our room, unpacked and ready to have lunch by Noon.
