When is construction on the AKV pool going to begin?

I changed my question because I found the answers on another thread, but now I have a new question.

"If" the new AKV opens in phases, and it's possible that there will be Kidani rooms ready for occupancy in December 2008, when will they start construction on the new AKV pool? Will/should the ACV pool be done by December too?

you can stay at AKV now. It is in Jambo House. If you only want the Kidani - then I think it will be finished in late 2009 - but expecting some of it to open next year.

they have really been building it. It is going up pretty fast.

The pool area won't take long to build. I am guessing it will be open the same time as the first phase of Kidani is opened. The main lobby and support areas will also need to be complete by the opening of the first phase. The counter service will probably be open by then too, but I doubt if the table service will be open until spring of 2009.

Are there any details about the pool area at Kidani (i.e. slides, sand, etc.)? All I have seen so far is the artist rendition of the pool area.

Well, I thought they should probably have the pool area done by the time they allow guests to stay in the first phase of Kidani, but I wasn't sure if this is normally the case with past DVC resorts or not.

Well, December isn't exactly pool weather, so it may give Disney a few more months to finish the pools. But it does not take long to build a pool and December is still 11 months away.

Well I am also hoping they finish earlier rather than later- I can't wait to see what it will look like.

When we bought in I am pretty sure that our guide told us that the new theme pool will be for DVC members only. Did anyone else hear this information or was I dreaming again?
