WHEN in April are you all going?

I forgot to ask that ? last post. What days are least crowded? Are Fla. residents "invading" the parks during late April?

I would'nt think so! Crowds should be minimal because Spring Break is over. Vacationers are back to work or school. I am going on April 28th for a week. The reason I picked that week was because I thought crowds would be minimal. When do Florida students get out of school for summer break??

April, along with between Christmas and New Years, are technically the busiest times of the year. Spring Break crowds will gradually begin to fall the last week of April and first week of May. I always try to avoid the entire month of April if possible. The best time of the year to visit is the second half of May. If you absolutly must go in April, try to go the very last week. Florida schools are mostly off the 2nd or 3rd week of April.

I would agree. The week of April 21st could be busy. However, I would think the week of April 28th would be quiet. People back in school from break and vacationers back to work. Shoot for this week or the first full week of May would be great.

I checked park hours and I think the parks are open until 7 pm or 8 pm, so I don't think there will be huge crowds.

At USF/IOA and then AKL for the 24th thru 29th. I'm hoping crowds have diminished a lot by then.

I will be going April 9th (maybe the 8th or 7th too if I have time) and April 23rd (maybe the 22nd too if I have time), but my date selections have more to do with me being in the area for other events rather than picking those dates for any particular reason. With staying at the PBH/HRH, dates are less of a concern anyway ...

Going to the HRH, Universal, IOA, 4/8 - 4/10, right in the middle of all the crazy crowds. And we still can't wait to be there!!!!

Hey Lisa and Glory Days--I too will be at the HRH
Sunday (tomorrow!!) How will we know if we see each other? I'll be the lady w/2 blonde adolescent boys in tow, and a husband that acts like one! Hee, hee. Coming from upstate N.Y., I was so hoping for some warmth. Looks like we will get it! Look for me by the pool, I've already warned my sons that I am trying out the slide (they'll just be so embarassed, I'm sure).

BTW, Hutchinson Islands Indian River Resort is fantastic. I go to that area often. Great choice!!
