I've read conflicting reports about it. Some say that the decorations are already up during Thanksgiving week, and then on All Ears Net they say the lightings and festivities happen the day after Thanksgiving . . .

Anyone know?

It takes weeks to get them ALL up (resorts and parks), so there is a period when some are up and others are "about to be up".

The "after Thanksgiving" info refers to the "festivities" like the CP in Epcot, MVMCP in MK, Osbourne Lights in MGM, etc.

We were at ASMo from Nov. 3 to 9 in 2004. Decorations were put up at the resort towards the end of our stay. It's my understanding that most of them aren't put up at the parks till Thanksgiving.

I've been the last 3 years the week before Thanksgiving and most but not all of the decorations were up. The Osborne Lights were viewable towards the end of that week, but this again, is a full week before Thanksgiving Day. So if your there during the week of Thanksgiving, I'd say you're going to see pretty much everything up and running!!!

Last year I was there the end of October through Election Day. The Decorations were up in MK including the Big Christmas Tree that is usually in Town Square. They put them up right after Halloween which suprised me. They also had stuff up in AK. The decorations were also up at Boardwalk. There wasn't anything in Epcot yet due to the F & W festival still running. I had always thought it was done closer to Thanksgiving but I guess it takes them longer each year with new resorts and whatever. Officially everything is done by the day after Thanksgiving.

We were there for Halloween last fall. On Halloween, the parks were all decorated for the Halloween party. By the next morning, some of the garlands from Halloween were already converted to garlands for Christmas. Some of the big Christmas trees were up the next day, and there was already a piney scent in the air at MK. By the end of the week, when we were at AK, Camp Minnie Mickey was totally decorated for Christmas, and the characters were in Christmas costumes.
