When does the PO Delivery your Mail??

I always found it odd that in Movies & TV, when the characters get mail delivered it is always before they leave the house early in the morning. I have never seen that in real life.

When does the Post Office deliver your mail to your house?????

They used to deliver my mail by 11 AM which I LOVED, but now it doesn't usually come until 6 in the evening which I hate. I don't know what happened but it's really really annoying!

Maybe they let it sit overnight.

Mine comes between noon and 1. My mailman sits in his truck eating lunch at the corner on our street, and all the dogs bark for about an hour or so while he's around.

My parents' mail used to come around 9 in the morning, but they got a new carrier and she brings it way late in the afternoon. It drives them nuts when they're waiting for their SS check.

Nope, when they started getting theirs, they got the option of Direct Deposit or paper check. They're frightened of anything electronic, so they'd rather trust the postal system.

It varies greatly. Sometimes it's here by 1:00. Other times it's here after 5:00.

Growing up and in our first house we got mail by 9:00AM. We were on the first residential route out in the morning. It was nice. The rest of the places we have lived it has been usually between 1-3 when we get our mail. Most towns now deliver to businesses first then do the residential routes. When we were growing up and stores didn't open until 10am, they would do residential routes first then business.

That's how it is here. Usually it's before noon, but it never fails, the day we are waiting on something to come, the mail is VERY late.

Last week, DH was waiting on his paycheck. The mail still hadn't arrived by 2. I called the PO to see if there was an issue. I was told the carrier was stuck in traffic. That was a lie, because both DH and I work in the town and there was NO traffic at all (plus, it takes under 5 minutes to drive from my house to the other side of town).

I have a po box, not by choice. The Post Office in our town decided that there are a few streets in this area that they don't have the time to deliver too. So we HAVE to go to the annex post office. It's only a 3 minute walk, so I usually take the dog on Saturday.

Normally, I pick the mail up on the way into work. The ladies who work there open the lobby at 7:30 a.m. other than that I would have to wait until Saturday mornings to pick everything up as they don't open the window until 8:30 a.m.

Our mail is delivered around 9-11am. Sometimes if I go into work late the mail is already delivered. We must be the first on the route.

You'd have to ask our neighbors since they began delivering our mail to all of them, instead of us. We had to get a PO box because we never got our own mail.

Last week dh and I went to the mall and there were six mail trucks parked there with all the mail still inside of them. We were there for two hours and when we came out, the trucks were still there. Must have been some sale. No wonder we never got our mail.
