When does onboard credit appear?

Can someone please tell me when an onboard credit/obc from a travel agency would appear? I note my last cruise the agency never sent the credit and we didn't find out until the night before disembarking.

I have always gotten a card in my cabin stating how much OBC has been gifted to my account. And it shows up by the next morning at the latest - usually as soon as I’m on board.

I have onboard credit from Dreams Unlimited for my September 2020 cruise. It shows on the booking confirmation from Dreams Unlimited

For prepurchased credits (like the ones that come from a Travel Agent), they usually leave a little card in your room to let you know you have a gift of that much credit on your account. It should be posted to your account as soon as your account is opened (you check-in). If I didn't see it by the next morning, I'd be asking Guest Services about it.

Thanks for the info. I will double-check with the agent and definitely when onboard.

They actually let me use the phone at Guest Services to call the agency (of course, no one picked up) - not how I wanted to spend my last night!

This has always been my experience.
