When does Halloween entertainment end?

We are thinking of going next fall, and it would probably end up being November 1st-4th. I know IASW will probably be down (sad, but not a huge deal), but what about Space Mountain? No way my kids would enjoy the Ghost Galaxy overlay. When does it go down and for how long usually? I know the decor will probably be a huge mix as they are starting to switch over, but what about Halloween-specific entertainment? Does it all end Halloween night or continue for a few days? More interested in regular offerings than Halloween-specific, but most interested in low crowds, which is why we're looking at that week! How much busier does it get the second week of November? Thanks for all your knowledge - I have only been twice in the fall, and only for single-day trips!

SM will typically close the Monday after Halloween for one day to remove the overlay. They try and remove the Halloween decorations after 10/31...they already begin putting snow on the castle in late October...
Halloween specific entertainment takes place during the Halloween Parties...those will be finished by November.

Thanks! So next year Halloween is a Monday. Does that mean they would wait a whole week to remove the SM overlay, or is that just an example?

When Halloween Time is over, it's over. The park quickly begins transitioning into holiday mode (actually it begins transitioning even before 10/31). The only thing that remains open is Haunted Mansion Holiday, of course. So the pumpkins on Main Street begin to come down pretty quickly. There is usually an ABC filming/taping of holiday-related footage on the weekend before Veterans Day, which would be 11/4-11/5 next year. So they have to ditch the pumpkins and trot out the garland and Christmas trees pretty quickly to make the parks look Christmasy enough for the filming.

Even though Space Mountain doesn't have to transition from Halloween mode to Holiday mode, I can't imagine that Disney would keep Ghost Galaxy running for a full week after Halloween Time. I suppose they could, but I don't think so. I think it will close right after 10/31 and then be closed for a day or two for the overlay removal... and then open again as regular Space Mountain in time for the weekend. That's my guess.

The second week of November should not be too bad, but the closer you get to the start of the holiday season (which, next year, could be anywhere from 11/10 - 11/15) and Veterans Day weekend, and as the holiday decorations begin to appear, more people will show up.
