When does FAST Pass become SLOW Pass?

So, in your opinion, what is too long to wait in a line titled FAST Pass? For me, if it's longer than 20 minutes I don't consider it fast anymore.

So, what's your cut-off? 10 minutes? 20 minutes? 30 minutes? Or, just so long as it's shorter than the SB line?

With more and more people being encouraged to sign up for FP+, just wondering what everyone's definition of fast is. I wonder what Disney's definition is, or if they even have one?

Depends on the ride, I guess I would say over 15 minutes total it's no longer very fast.

For rides that have a significant wait after the merge point, I expect there to be under 5 minute waiting until the merge point.

I think it depended on the ride. In my experience - the Rock n Rollercoaster fast pass nearly always was at least 25 minutes - sometimes longer.

It depends on where the 'drop off' was, and how quickly it queues. But the Splash Mountain one always felt like a walk on. Soarin I didn't think expedited, either.

But I guess it mattered only if it took off a significant amount of time.

Soarin was always longer, RNR - always longer, etc.

It took us 30 minutes to get through the FP line at Radiator Springs Racers at DCA last month. I know that's the hottest ticket in Disney right now..... but it was too long. That was after waiting half an hour in the FP line earlier in the day just to get those tickets. Too much hassle. I would call it appointment riding, but I think it's silly to call anything over about 15 minutes "fast".

LOL I think at one point during our November trip it took us 20 minutes to get "in" to the FP line at Test Track---ie to the first MB scanner. There was not a huge back up to that point just lots of scanning problems evidently. So do you count that too?

When the FP issuance rate (when FP+ reservations are made and/or FP- coupons are fetched) gets close to the FP acceptance rate (at the merge point on the ride) then FP backups are likely to happen.

More than 15 minutes to the merge point, they should let you try again later (including beyond your FP window) when you ask.
