When Does DDE Start and Expire?

We are interested in joining DDE, but we won't be visiting WDW again until September. Will the expiration date be determined based upon when we receive the card, when we first use it, or some other way? Is it better to wait until just before we visit WDW, or should we go ahead and order it now? Thanks for any responses.

We are going down in July and I would like to know this info too. We will be going down again next year in July and would love to be able to use it twice.

From what others who recently purchased it posted, if you buy it now it will expire 02/28/06. They have it listed on the AP page as a 2005 benefit, so I don't think they will take it away before the end of the year. So you are better off waiting until closer to your trip if you plan other trips next year.
