Always go in September - sometimes early and sometimes late. Love the free dining (we upgrade to deluxe and stay in a value resort)! Very few crowds, no lines, best value for our money! Downside is that it can still be quite hot but the upside is the MNSSHP and F&W!

we have been to WDW in all months with the exception of June and July and October.... we will never do August again, just to hot and muggy and crowded, plus we live in North Florida and live with the Florida heat and humidity from May til October so we don't need to be miserable at Disney.
Jan Feb and March are great for low crowds and cool weather but may to too cool to enjoy pools and parks may close earlier...April (not Easter week) and early May are prime time for great weather and still low crowds.
Late Sept after kids have all returned to school is lovely with the fall colors and Halloween decorations
Dec is awesome for the decoration and lights and low crowds as long as you go before the 22 or so

Thanks Eeyoresnr!! Good to know what times of the year have the lower crowds and cooler weather. That is exactly what we will be shooting for this next trip!!:woohoo:

mid may- school's wrapping up, little crowds, and generally perfect weather. plus the flower&garden fest at Epcot :goodvibes

Okay, I picked August 5-September 27 in the poll.

However, that's a misleading timeframe. I've never been early August, but from reading the boards, that's a very different experience than mid-September (which is when we've gone.)

So anyway, I've been three times as an adult and once as a teen. Of those four times, 2 were the third week in September, two were end of January.

My favorite trip ever was our most recent trip, end of January.

However, I'd still vote mid-September as favorite time to visit. Guaranteed hot weather in September (which I love). January could be gorgeous (like this year) or freezing (as on my trip as a teen).

September was also lower crowds than even January.

MNSSHP starts running mid-September.

Fewer closures in September.

So far, we have only ever visited in mid-late June. This year, we will be visiting in mid-late August, which everyone says is terrible weather-wise. But honestly, it can't be hotter or muggier than June, and we dealt with that just fine. Besides, it will be just as hot or hotter here in central TX!

The higher crowds during the summer also mean later hours, which is crucial for shift workers like me who can't do rope drop (it'd be like a regular person starting their park day at midnight or 1 am).

Why have we always gone in the summer? First trip was with the ILs, and MIL set the date. The next two, we are sappy and went during the week of our anniversary. This year, I am in school and we are going during the break between the end of summer classes and the start of fall classes.

One of these days, we'll get there during F&W and Christmas time! :thumbsup2

We have gone in mide/late August and it was hot yes but crowd levels were lower than when we went during christmas holidays. The crowd levels then compared to late August were very managable.

I have been in the fall, the spring and the summer. Typically we choose summer. We usually go in May but will change it to either June or July next summer. It is just as hot and humid in Mississippi as it is in FL so that isn't a factor for me. It just seems like WDW is our "summer thing." And in the past we have chosen May bc it was our way of kicking off the summer. But the last two trips the rest of the summer was a bit of a downer since Disney was behind us. So for 2013 we will spend the beginning of summer anticipating, the middle of summer at WDW and the end of summer remembering the magic!;)

We go in January because i work outside in MO and it's very cold here generally during the winter and my work is lighter. Also because there's less crowds normally.

I chose both of these because we go late Sept:

August 5 - September 27
September 28 - October 4

We go then because,
1) Free Dining if offered
2) Crowds are about the lowest they are going to get
3) We aren't tied to going during the summer or holidays
4) We like to go when it's starting to cool down here in MI, but it's still warm (well, hot actually ;) ) in WDW.

We always go in the summer. We have a timeshare the first week in August down in Fort Myers, so we right after that week is up.
This year we are skipping the timeshare and doing a longer Disney trip in the middle of July.
My wife and I teach, so the summer makes the most sense. We do plan to go during Christmas one of these years.

My vacation time is limited, so it's christmas week, easter week, spring break or summer! We've chosen summer the last 3 times we've gone. I hated going in July- the heat was awful and the crowds were worse. I think we got the worst of the tour groups. June was better, in terms of the heat but also awfully crowded - maybe just the week we went.
We had a much better time when we went at the end of August, so now it's our fave time. Last time we got free dining, the weather was hot but not ridiculous, and we never had a line that was over 15 minutes. :cool1:
August 2013 can't come soon enough!!!

We're teachers, so whenever school is out. Unfortunately, these are typically the busiest times of the year. We can sometimes sneak in a weekend getaway but, again, this usually is attached to a holiday of some sort.

We may not be able to go during the summer time anymore since Disney is doing block out dates on the Fl resident tickets. Fl resident tickets are how we are able to afford to go every year, even if just for a weekend.

My best trip has been in early November during F&W--very low crowds and great weather.

Our last trip was the first week of May--not very crowded but it was 85-90+ most days. I was more susceptible to the heat because I was, unknowingly, 6-7 weeks pregnant. I would go again that week because it was a little warmer thatn average according to locals.

Going forward with school-age kids now, we will go during fall break in the 2nd week of October.

Our favorite time to go is the the week before Christmas. We spend Christmas day at MK, and go home the next day.

We have been in April, October, September and August. It usually revolves around kids school vacations, but we have been known to pull them out. They're both high-honors and we get work for the plane for them to keep up to date. Although it can be unbearably hot during August, the lack of crowds makes up for it. We leave in a few weeks for our first DVC trip. Very excited!!!

We go during the summer because there is one week that all of us are off at the same time. It is usually the last week of July going into the first week of August. However, we are going the first full week of August this year and I am excited to see if there is a difference in going a week later. (Crowd wise...):goodvibes

We usually go mid-August. I am also a teacher and I teach Summer School, so the only opportunity we have is from August 15 to Labor Day Weekend. Since we usually drive down, the other times of the year (Christmas, Mid-Winter Break and Spring Break) are not good for us.

Last day to cast your vote!!:):)

I am surprised at the number of Dis'ers going in late summer and late fall. I figured for some reason that Spring and early summer would have put up bigger numbers. I guess do to work or school schedules that those times not always work.

Thanks for participating in my poll thought it was fun to see what times are exciting and fun for different families!!:thumbsup2 :banana:Happy Vacationing!
