When do you start playing Christmas music?

At work, we put it on in the store yesterday. Today I have already heard four different renditions of "Santa Claus is coming to Town", three different "My Favorite Things" (side note..when did THIS get to be a Christmas song???) and I still cannot get the "12 Days of Christmas" out of my head.......by Thanksgiving I will be praying for Christmas to come, or putting on the earplugs .

When I was still iving in my own home - and my DH was still alive - I always started on November 1st - because that was when I started my mass cleaning of the house - top to bottom, every knook and cranny, every knick knack, windows, blinds, curtains, - the whole 9 yards..

Since my DH has been gone and I live with my DD and her family during the winter I only play Christmas music when I'm baking with my DGD, helping to trim the tree, and wrapping gifts.. Makes me kind of sad now - missing my DH and my childhood home..

I play Christmas music year round. If I am in the mood, I put it on. I love Christmas music.

The minute after Santa comes down the street in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. (12 noon EST)

After reading this thread, I broke down and put one of my Christmas CD's on in the car yesterday....It was nice to hear the music though.

I play mine year round...right now in the car I have my Brenda Lee Christmas album....this one is a classic...maybe the best ever...."Rockin' around the Christmas tree".....
